Some upcoming events to look out for

As midterms season draws to a close (or a start, depending on where you’re at), now is the best time to find spaces of community and reflection. Here’s a short list of events for your calendar:

Commuter Appreciation Week

From March 5th to 10th, the commuter dons at SMC are hosting daily events for students to enjoy. The full list of events can be found on their instagram page (@commuterdonsusmc). Make sure to come to the Coop for some warm conversation and company on March 7th from 11am–1pm ( “Soup in the Coop” is a very apt name choice). Find the events that best suit your commuter schedule and have fun!

Praise and Worship Night

St. Mike’s Campus Ministry is hosting a night to gather in prayer and reflection this coming Wednesday, March 8th, from 7pm–9pm in Father Madden Hall. Check out their Instagram page (@ustmikescampusministry) for more details on this event and the Ministry’s Lent lineup.

Boba Ross Paint Night

St. Mike’s Student Union, Residence Council, and Campus Life, have all banded together to host a Bubble Tea Paint Night for students at the Coop on Friday, March 10th, from 3pm–5pm. Drink some good tea and paint some happy trees to relax!

SMC Troubadours Present: Cabaret

The SMC Troubadours will be performing their much awaited “Cabaret” show from March 9th to March 11th. Hurry to get some tickets, linked on their Instagram page (@smc_troubadours) – there are only a few seats left!

Bonus Events: Hart House!

In the spirit of creation and relaxation, do check out Hart House’s “Get Crafty” series (@harthousegetcrafty), with their upcoming “Knitting & Crochet” event on March 18th. There are many brilliant events to look out for outside of our SMC community – make sure to keep an eye out for what you’re most interested in. You never know what you’ll find!
