An outline of the upcoming students’ events at St. Mike’s and the way they are organized

As this period ends for most students, it is important to take a break and recharge. One way to do so is by taking part in upcoming student events at St. Michael’s College (St. Mike’s). This is a healthy way to relax, make new friends, learn, and get involved in campus activities. St. Mike’s students around the world will be able to participate, as many of the events have been moved to online platforms in order to satisfy Ontario health regulations.
There are recurring student events such as Commuter Don Therapeutic Thursdays, the Pair-A-Dice Games, and the St. Mike’s Mentorship workshops, just to list a few. The Commuter Don Therapeutic Thursdays take place weekly at 7 p.m. They include “games, crafts, and prizes to be won”. The event takes place on Discord and the invitations to join the Discord server are available on the link on the Commuter Don Instagram: @commuterdonsusmc. Follow the account to stay updated on all events and giveaways.
Similarly, the Pair-A-Dice event is also a weekly event that occurs from 2-5 p.m. The Pair-a-Dice is the “board game club at UTSG,” and the club has “50+ games in [their] collection,” as explained by the club. The invitations to join the Pair-A-Dice Discord are available on their Instagram, which is @pairadicebgc. With this option, one can tune in weekly to play from a large selection of board games and socialize with other students.
St. Mike’s Mentorship is also weekly and discusses different important topics every week. The next upcoming workshop will be on November 20th and will focus on interview techniques. The informative workshops are all virtual and held on Bb Collaborate. The links to join the workshops are on the St. Mike’s website, under the option, ‘Student Events.’
There are also various upcoming events at St. Mike’s such as the SMC Troubadours Present: One Slow Summer, and IUSCA (Italian Undergraduate Student Cultural Association) Games Night. The SMC Troubadours who are the drama society on the St. Mike’s campus, will be having an event between the 26th and 28th of November. There will be more information about the event and on tickets closer to the date. The Instagram and Facebook accounts of the drama society are @smc_troubadours and The St. Michael’s College Troubadours, respectively. These accounts will include more information about the events as well as ways to get involved in the drama society if you are interested in theatre. Furthermore, the IUSCA Game Night will be hosted on November 26th on Zoom and the link is available on their Instagram. Their Instagram account is @iusca.uoft. If interested in joining the IUSCA, one can contact them on Instagram as well.
These are some of the ways one can get involved in campus events and activities this month.
