A community where all can explore big questions and integrate faith into their lives

As we begin a new school year, the St. Mike’s Campus Ministry team wants to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students. Whether you are in your first or your final year, September is a time of transition. The almost-autumn air is filled with the feeling of possibility, and new beginnings. For some, that is invigorating and inspiring. For others, the uncertainties of a new academic year might be a source of anxiety and fear. Whoever you are and no matter your situation, St. Mike’s Campus Ministry hopes to walk alongside you this September and in the coming months.

Our role here in Campus Ministry is to help students, faculty, and staff to integrate faith, religion, and spirituality into their lives and the life of the community. We delight in helping students ask big questions: Who am I? What is my purpose here? Where am I going? What is my deepest desire?

You can find us in our Campus Ministry Lounge, Brennan Hall Room 101. Some days it is a quiet space, perfect for rest and solitude: a safe haven where you can take a break from the busyness of campus. Other times it is ringing with laughter, brightly lit with smiles, and smelling of fresh baked goods, compliments of our talented team members. We wouldn’t have it any other way: we want to offer a space where all facets of human life can freely unfold.

We warmly invite you to take part in our programming this year. Join our Saturday Student Masses, Off-Campus Retreats, Bible Study, or Faith and Science Group. Take part in our Meal Outreach at St. Basil’s, and stay tuned for upcoming religious and cultural holiday celebrations. Best of all, just come say hello, and do us the immense honour of experiencing even the smallest glimpse of who you are. We can’t wait to meet you!

Nicole Ferrante is Campus Ministry Coordinator at the University of St. Michael’s College.
