What’s your name, what program and year are you currently in at UofT?

Joseph, Double majoring in Neuroscience and Physiology.

What’s your favorite aspect of the program you’re in, what made you choose it?

I love learning about the human body, and I think the brain is an interesting choice to study, there’s so much we don’t know about it yet that we have yet to uncover.

Looking back, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Younger me wanted to be a doctor, I wanted to be able to offer professional help and care for my family and the people around me. I don’t like feeling helpless when it comes to the people I care most about.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to go?

If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I’d want to be in Switzerland. It’s such a peaceful place, the nature’s beautiful and the food is really great too.

What’s your favorite quote/your life motto?

I’d say my favorite quote is “Hakuna Matata” which translates to “no troubles” or “no problems” in the East African Language of Swahili.

What would you say is your go-to spot in the GTA? (you can specify restaurant, cafe, bar etc.)/ What’s your favorite season in Toronto?

My favorite season is spring, when the flowers are just blooming around the city, it’s like watching the world and nature come alive again. I love seeing it happen.
