Interview with Head Coach Angelo Cavalluzzo
After the match, we interviewed Coach Angelo to gather his thoughts on the Blues’ dominant victory.
What was your team’s biggest strength today?
I think today was… just finding runners behind the back line, consistently in dangerous areas over and over again, whether it be playing across or finding little windows to play on the strong side. But we’re finding players behind their back line over and over again. So, we had a constant threat.
What did the team learn from today’s game?
Trusting the process and knowing the things that we try… work. I think … understanding that Trent is not at the same level as maybe other teams that we’re trying to compete against for OUA national championships, but making sure that that doesn’t change our standards. So that was the best to see, is that we didn’t drop at all today. It was just steady and consistent, just like the previous matches.
The Women’s Soccer team currently sits 6-2, second in OUA standings only to Ottawa.
