Podcasts by Youtubers that are guaranteed to soothe your soul

Alessia Baptista, Managing Editor

In the past few years, podcasts have significantly increased in popularity. It’s almost to the point where everyone has decided to make their own podcast – specifically, Youtube creators (Youtubers).

I personally love listening to podcasts while commuting to campus, cleaning my room, or going for a walk. More specifically, podcasts by Youtubers are an effective way for me to consume their content on the go, and hear my favourite influencers discuss topics that pique my interest. Here are my top three lifestyle podcasts as of late:

  1. Anything Goes by Emma Chamberlain

This is probably my favourite Lifestyle podcast. As its name suggests, “Anything goes” on Youtuber Emma Chamberlain’s podcast. In other words, she discusses a variety of topics; essentially whatever is on her mind. What makes the podcast so unique is that she opens up about her personal life experiences which allows her to relate more to her audience. Emma is also the same age as I am, and I admire how she’s a successful young woman sharing her personal goals and struggles as she navigates her 20s. Emma also spends the second half of her episodes answering the audience’s questions via Twitter, making the listening experience more engaging.

My favourite episodes: a happy and healthy life; i can’t talk to people anymore

2. The Health Code Daily, by Kurt and Sarah Tilse

On The Health Code Daily, Youtube power couple Sarah and Kurt Tilse (known through Sarah’s Youtube channel, “Sarah’s Day”) discuss all things health, fitness, career, relationships, and lifestyle. I love this podcast because each episode is quick, its length being a maximum of 10 minutes per episode. It also motivates me to live a healthy active lifestyle and take care of myself! Kurt and Sarah’s advice really packs a punch in a short amount of time, and The Health Code Daily is a great way to start my morning, every day.

My favourite episodes: Ep. 210: The 80 Percent Rule; Ep.163: What’s Your Why?; Ep. 31: Learning to Say No

3. Pretty Basic by Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz

Pretty Basic is a podcast that makes you feel like you’re having a conversation with your besties. Lifestyle Youtubers Alisha Marie and Remi Cruz discuss a variety of topics such as friendships, dating, body image, and confidence, with the occasional episode featuring guest speakers. I love listening to these successful women discuss their lives and open up about their struggles and opinions on certain topics. It’s a great podcast to listen to, as the hosts give some big-sister advice to guide and inspire the younger generation.

My favourite episodes: How to love your body + dating advice ft. Ava Jules; You can’t please everyone: friends, relationships & parents.
